Well, that was a wait that I wasn't ready for. 8 Days later and I finally got some news. Here's how that went.
yesterday, having been through 8 days of wondering, stress and more " what if's ", my husband finally had enough.  Â
Setting the scene.
Our little town. I love living here for the most part, but what I don't love is there, here, you can get scans done (CT) and it takes forever to get them back. In the city, you get a scan and the next day (or day 3) you get the results. Our local Doctor only works 3 days a week. Monday - Wednesday. So getting in to see them can be tedious. Not to mention, they stay so busy that you start to feel like "just a number". I had called last Wednesday and asked if they had gotten the results back (they said no but the secretary proved that they HAD gotten the results, they were in another "folder" on the computer that they typically do not look at. UGH
Anyway, hubby woke up yesterday and had just had enough. As soon as the Doctor office opened it's doors, hubby was on his way in to the office. The secretary was amazing. My husband was angry and impatient. Demanded to speak with the nurse or the Doctor. He explained the situation and they were not very helpful, meanwhile the secretary found the CT results and printed them out. The Doctor/nurse had not looked at them yet. While hubby was there he insisted they look at it and tell him what it said.
So this large hard lump above my belly button (hard as a golf ball) that was causing me excruciating pain, nausea and vomiting off an on is "NOTHING". Scan says "Could be mild Colitis". Colon is swollen.  So, it is definite that it is NOT a hernia. I guess that is good, but what the heck is going on then..
I am having normal bowel movements (Well, normal for me with having AGS). So It's not an impacted bowel (unless ! ! ! you can have impacted bowel and still have movements.)Â
So. hubby asked the Gen Doc to get a referral going for a Gastroenterologist in the city. Maybe they can figure out what is going on. Preferably without another colonoscopy or surgery as I want to get this Chemo started and finished, out of the way. The next 6 months.. I have less than 2 weeks to see if there is something that can be done with this "problem" before Chemo starts and I end up in much more pain. (Praying everything goes smoothly). Hubby and I are just beside ourselves wondering "what next?"
