Phew... Â January was rough folks.
Not so great a start for the new year, but here we are.
My next Chemo apt is Feb 18th. Seems like a life time away. Looking forward to seeing if #3 will be easier on my body. I am more prepared now though. I have my walker in case I need it (thank you to my Neighbor Deb L. She is an amazingly thoughtful woman. She saw my Facebook post about what I was going through after chemo #2 and she immediately bought me a walker, and she also bought me another wig (I chose the wrong color and hair style - you won't see me wearing it) but she is so thoughtful and has become an amazing friend.. Because of our financial situation she has been "hiring" my husband to do odd jobs around her house that she needs done. That money is so helpful.Â
Oh, before I forget, End of December 2025 / January 2026 we had some pretty awful things (Besides cancer) hit our household. We have a 40 ft by 40 ft 2 story garage that is owned by my father in law, he let us move in with him and we build a "mini home" in the back half of the garage (poorly I might say because we are not professionals). Before I lost my income, we put all of our money into building this place (minus bills, food etc.) Slowly we got it built (not finished) to where we could live in it. FIL had a heat and air system already for it when he wanted his garage to be his "man cave" so that was set up to heat the entire garage (nothing was insulated mind you) This thing is very costly on the electric bill, and then we put in a mini split in the actual house part, we only had it (the mini split) running for 5 years and it quit on us so we left our door open and had the Whole garage/house system heating for us (raised the bill terribly). In the same week the mini split quit the heating/cooling system quit. We resorted to several space heaters - also terribly expensive on the bills. Then our dish washer quit. Husband began to lose faith quite a bit, first cancer then our appliances decided to go. With only one income and FIL can't do more than he already is because he is on a fixed income. We are making due.  My point, is, we got notified that a friend of a friend of an aquantance wants to fix our heating/cooling system for us. Free of charge. (Hasn't happened yet, but I will let you know when it does).  The kindness of strangers in your time of need is amazing to me. God works for you when he knows you need it so we are patient and gracefully waiting.
We do have a wood burning fireplace that we bought (before all this) to get it set up in the house for the winters, but we lacked the $3,000 for the triple wall piping that we will need, so that hasn't happened yet. Since the diagnosis, we are consistently beyond broke. We can't even finish the walls in the house (dry wall, but not finished or painted), until hopefully my Disability goes through or God shows me what path he want's me to go down. IE: another factor into why I started writing Kids books, cookbooks, and coloring books and trying to sell them on Amazon.
anyway, I feel like I am rambling senselessly.
